Techishweb publishes short articles on technology, SEO strategies, data, web development challenges and solutions. We connect and amplify the personal experience across the Globe, so we consider submissions from any author interested in technology research, web development or SEO practice. To contribute your knowledge, experience or perspective to this goal, please read the following guidelines carefully and submit a pitch.

Please note that Techishweb cannot offer payment for contributions.

1. Submit a pitch

To get started, review our previously published articles and note our editorial and accessible writing style. Then, use our submission form to submit a short pitch. Please allow 1-2 weeks for a response from our editorial team.

Pitches should include:

An intriguing title for your article; please note, however, that we reserve the right to decide titles to maximize appeal.

A short bio, in 2-3 sentences. Include only your most important titles and affiliations and your country of residence. Hyperlink to your organization, personal website, or recently published work.

A brief summary of your main idea; Explain what niche you target, if applicable; and describe evidence for your ideas (data, personal experience, etc.).

2. Writing guidelines

OUR articles are intended for a general, global audience. That’s why we often translate into multiple languages. Keep these guidelines in mind when writing your article:

  • Keep your pitch short: between 1,000 and 1,500 words only.
  • Use a minimum of technical, academic, or legal jargon. Write simply and directly, use short sentences, and be considerate of readers and translators working in other languages.
  • Put the most important points at the top.
  • Use the active voice. See comparisons between active and passive voice.
  • Include hyperlinks to open sources to support your arguments. We do not publish footnotes or endnotes.
  • Whenever possible, include links to sources in English or another widely spoken language.
  • Provide general information; do not assume readers are familiar with your country or topic.
  • Hyperlink to previously published articles, if applicable.

Questions to consider when writing your article:

What are the three main points that support your main idea?

What is your main idea or argument you would like readers to take away, in a single sentence?

Why and how does your topic or issue relate to Technology and the Web? Why should readers generally care?

What topic are you writing about? Are you responding to a particular article previously published on Techishweb? If so, which one(s)?

3. The editing process

Once you submit your article, our team will review it. If your request fulfil our guidlines, we will request a full draft and begin the editing process. Once your draft is submitted, we will send you an edited version with comments, requests and suggestions. Please return the next draft to us as soon as possible with the changes made.

We often send a second draft, because we take the writing and editing process very seriously. Our goal is to make your article as polished and compelling as possible. Be patient. The more time we spend editing, the larger your audience will be.

4. Article dissemination

When your article is published, we will notify you and ask you to share it through your own networks and social media. We will do the same through our multilingual Facebook and Twitter channels, as well as through our weekly newsletter.

5. Cross-posting

Once your article appears on our website, you are free to republish it elsewhere, as long as the other site provides a hyperlink to the original post and indicates that “This article was originally published on [date] on Techishweb.” Please let us know about cross-posting, so we can help promote it across our networks and keep track of learnings and reports.
